![]() Everything PocketFlock-related is now at blog.itdunn.com Questions, Concerns, Criticism, etc... that's moved Flock'd is no longer being maintained at this site (but might be revived in the future) ![]() Everything PocketFlock related has been moved to blog.itdunn.com. and to the spammers making my life miserable, a great big FUCK YOU! --much love, ![]() My blog is in the process of being relocated... due to increased spamming, I'm switching platforms and domains... more details soon. ![]() Due to some unforseen changes in my life and in Flock itsself, I've temporarily put PocketFlock on hiatus... but that's all about to change. Expect to see the first preview of 0.4 next week, with a new preview every week until 0.4 final. New goals for 0.4 include tighter integration of the components, a "fix" for the blog-editor security hole (provided by and refused to be fixed by the friendly folks at Flock). ![]() Brand new computer, brand new OS, semi-new partner. Li has been the single-most helpfull contributer to PocketFlock since... ever really, filling in the gap while I've been out. Sofar between the two of us we've laid plans for 0.4 and 0.5, as well as how to finally tackle our attempts at i386 linux and OSX PPC/i786 versions. Incedentally, the windows version runs just fine on i386 linux and i786 OSX when using WINE or DarWINE The OSX port may actually be released before the linux version... probably just because I purchased a new fully-loaded 17inch MacBookPro. :) First thing I did was install XP Pro (I'm not about to abandon the Windows version of any of my projects, plus I have a wide selection of Games that look absolutely gorgeous running in full quality in a 1680x1250 resolution) Don't think I'm this rich man though... after an almost year-long stint of being a freelance handyman, I've finally got a steady job... I start on Saturday (In a management position even!) The computer was purchased with a student loan, and well worth every penny. I'm moving back up north to the DC area. ![]() -or- Introducing Sadist Sadist is a Firefox extension updater based upon the Flock'd core I developed THIS MAY ADVERSELY AFFECT COMPATIBILITY WITH OTHER GECKO BROWSERS PLEASE ONLY USE SADIST EXTENSIONS ON BON ECHO. PLEASE NOTE THAT SADIST WILL ONLY UPDATE EXTENSIONS NOT THEMES. MAKE SURE THAT YOU DISABLE AUTOMATIC UPDATES FOR EXTENSIONS OTHERWISE THEY WILL BE OVERWRITTEN BY THE ORIGNALS. Technorati Tags: firefox, bon echo, flock'd, flock, extensions Edit: ![]() Earlier today, the Flock team made one more step towards the impending 0.6 release with the semi-released 0.5.9 version.
So I've had to update Flock'd to handle the new min and maxVersion tags in the install.rdf This also means that I've done a few quick tweaks to the source
Everything should be working now (and in some ways, better than before), but it still bothers me somewhat that the Flock dev's didn't have the foresight to warn the extension and the converter dev's at least a day or so prior to this release or at least once the decision was made.
technorati tags: flock, flockd, extensions ![]() Many of you may have noticed from the Flockstars mailing list, that I've updated (read: overhauled) Flock'd Anyways, I've done a major overhaul on pretty much every component of Flock'd and I'd appreciate any feedback/suggestions/gripes
-Taken directly from my submission to the Flockstars mailing list. technorati tags: flock'd, php, firefox extensions, flock extensions ![]() <Burns Voice>Excellent....</Burns Voice> Hopefully I'll be content enough to keep it this way for a while Flock'd still isn't recieving data from the GET method, so The Flock'd Extension won't work properly any longer (it still works, but the big problem is on Flock'd's end) My workaround involved getting the url and converting it into a variable and getting the value of $target. I haven't bothered to get anything else yet since it only affects the niceties and not the core functionality of the program |
